International Association for Integrative and Holistic Dog Grooming
The Association is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for strategic oversight, fiduciary responsibility, and adherence to the Association’s mission and legal obligations.
The Board consists of a minimum of three directors and may be expanded as the Association grows to support effective governance, expertise, and geographic representation.
Provides leadership and strategic direction for the Association
Maintains records and ensures compliance with governance procedures
Oversees financial management and reporting
Failure to meet renewal requirements may result in suspension or expiration of certification.
Develops and maintains certification standards and educational programming.
Plans and executes member events, webinars, and the annual gathering.
Reviews membership applications, handles ethics concerns, and oversees member conduct standards.
Oversees board nominations and governance best practices.
Committees may include Board members and qualified non-Board participants.
All members adhere to the Association’s Code of Ethics, which reflects principles of canine-centered care, professional integrity, transparency, and respect for animal welfare.
The Code of Ethics applies to professional conduct, educational activities, public representation, and use of the Association’s name or credentials.
The Association's name, acronym, certification titles, and logos may only be used by members in good standing and in accordance with established guidelines. Misuse may result in disciplinary action.
Members are expected to maintain the highest standards of professional conduct:
Failure to comply may result in review, corrective action, suspension, or revocation of membership or certification.
All disciplinary decisions will be made by the Membership and Ethics Committee after notice and an opportunity to respond.
